Motor Sports
The automotive lighting in motor sports is totally different to serial lighting systems even if you don’t see it at first sight.
The main focus is neither on the suitability for serial production nor in compliance with the ECE / SAE regulations. Lighting systems in motor sports have to be robust, lightweight and innovative and they have to match the specific regulations.
Furthermore, besides the serial lighting systems as low beam and high beam head lamps, daytime running light, RCL and indicator there are special lighting systems which are used for a smoothly racing. E.g. pitstop light and position light which are applied in DTM respectively in Le Mans.
